Rachel has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Emotional and Behavior Disorders from Vanderbilt University & a Master’s of Education Degree in Reading Instruction from the University of West Georgia. She has over 8 years of teaching experience, and served in department chair and intervention team leadership roles during her public school teaching career. Rachel has volunteered, tutored, and worked with learners who do not “fit the mold” since she was in high school, and has a passion for teaching the way children learn rather than acting as though there is something wrong with a child who doesn’t fit in the box that traditional school has created for them based on their age.

Amy Moore

Amy holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Western Washington University, and a Master’s in Education from the University of Hawaii. She has 16 years of experience teaching special education and developing new programs to meet student needs. Amy served as the chair of the special education department at Sylvester Middle School, in Burien, WA for 8 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and skill in organization, planning, and meeting student needs. She is eager to work with learners to help them understand themselves, their emotions, and how to find their passions.

Lisa guides learners in our primary studio. She has a background in massage therapy and Occupational Therapy Assisting. Her zest for life, enthusiasm, whimsical spirit, and understanding of development help her guide our young learners in play-based centers.

Kayla Lovelace

Kayla guides learners in our primary studio as our Lead Primary Facilitator. Kayla holds a B.S. in Child Development from ETSU. Her gentle calm demeanor and playful sense of humor endear her to our young learners in our primary studio.

Elementary Instructional Facilitator

Ren guides learners in our elementary studio. Ren's background as an RBT, registered behavior technician, and early childhood education uniquely prepare Ren to flexibly facilitate learning for a diverse group of kids. Ren is skilled in guiding learners to discover the answers to their questions and helping them build independence, self-regulation, and persistence through frustration while also keeping learning joyful.

Aunt Becky

Aunt Becky coaches our mentors on best academic practices and works in small groups with learners on specific goals. Aunt Becky has her M.Ed. in Elementary Education and has homeschooled her children for the early years of elementary, and taught 2nd grade, 4th grade, and high school at a small private school for over a decade. Becky's joy and humility make her one of our learners' favorite people.
